Greetings All In the spirit of the recent bulk solar panel buy I'm organizing a bulk battery purchase. The solar panels are great, but without batteries to store all of that power only half the equation is in place. I've spoken with the folks at Wholesale Solar and the pricing would be directly related to the amount ordered. As far as battery type; the Crown L6 has a cost/storage ratio that is hard to beat. It's a wet cell lead acid battery that is 6 volt and 430 amp hours. They have a proven long term track record and are completely recyclable at the end of their life span. The Cooperative Extension Office has loading docks that may be utilized for delivery and distribution. This simplifies getting what is a cumbersome and heavy item to where it needs to go. Let's get a gauge on interest and see where this can lead. If anyone needs assistance in designing a battery bank or determining what they need feel free to comment below or shoot me a PM here or on Facebook. Looking to get this done by the end of March. Thanks Andrew Here's a link to the batteries: www.wholesalesolar.com/9960100/crown/batteries/crown-cr430-6v-flooded-l16-battery

Just got off the phone with Wholesale Solar. My rep there gave me some soft numbers. Depending on the quantity we could be looking at $270-$280 per battery, plus free shipping. This would start around 50 batteries total ordered.
